Fantasy Football
News: 7 hours agoJacobs rushed 25 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns while losing two yards on his only reception in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Jaguars.
Spin: Jacobs punched in Green Bay's first and final touchdowns en route to a narrow victory. The lead back's second-half performance was crucial after starting quarterback Jordan Love (groin) left Sunday's tilt in the third quarter. Jacobs is a significant part of the Packers' game plan whether or not Love is able to suit up against the Lions next Sunday, so fantasy managers should start the 26-year-old with confidence.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jacobs joins the Packers after spending his first five years with the Raiders. In 2023, Jacobs resumed his go-to-back role and finished second in touches per game. However, despite that volume, Jacobs was RB17 in fantasy points per game, due to career lows in rushing yards, touchdowns and yards per rush. At 26 years old, Jacobs reprises his lead-back duties in Green Bay, replacing Aaron Jones and sharing the backfield with rookie MarShawn Lloyd. Jacobs is one of only five RBs with at least 50 targets in each of the past three seasons, and he gets enough passing-game work to maintain a high weekly floor. With another heavy workload on the horizon, Jacobs is a top-15 running back.
