The Los Angeles Dodgers opened the season as favorites to win the World Series and are now heavy favorites as they swept their two home games to take a 2-0 series lead as the teams now travel to New York for Game 3.
Freddie Freeman, who won Game 1 with an extra-inning grand slam hit another homer to help win Game 2. Freeman is now the overwhelming favorite to win World Series MVP at -115 on ESPN BET. Shohei Ohtani injured his shoulder and his status for the rest of the series in not yet certain, so the former MVP favorite is currently "off the board."
The Dodgers opened at -125 on ESPN BET and are now -450 favorites with their 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. The New York Yankees saw their odds move to +340 after another loss.
Game 3 is on Monday night at Yankee Stadium at 8:08 p.m. If the series were to go seven games, the final baseball game of the 2024 season would take place on Saturday, Nov. 2.
