Spin: McLaurin caught long passes of 61 and 25 yards to top 100 yards for the third time this season and for the first time since Week 5. He was out-targeted by Zach Ertz but still holds the most valuable fantasy role in the offense. After a relatively inconsistent start to the season, McLaurin now has at least 95 receiving yards and five receptions in three of his last four games heading into a Week 9 matchup against the Giants.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: McLaurin's fifth NFL season looked quite a bit like his prior ones, as he crossed 1,000 receiving yards for the fourth consecutive campaign, quite the feat considering Washington's quarterback play during his career. This is a new era, with Jayden Daniels at quarterback, and that helps everyone. The consistent McLaurin has caught between 77 and 87 passes each of the past four seasons, and he has scored four or more touchdowns each season. What looked different in 2023 was how McLaurin got those numbers, with a career-worst 7.6 yards per target and 12.7 yards per reception. Fantasy managers can no longer comfortably choose the durable McLaurin as a WR2, as 27 wide receivers scored more fantasy points last season, but he isn't far from that range, either.
